The sad story of Lucie and Nico in 2021

First scouting by the blue tits!13 April 2021
This is the very first visit of Lucie and Nico to the birdhouse. Neighbour Sigrid was the first to notice the blue tits hanging around the box. In the video below, Lucie and Nico can even be seen in the box together for a brief moment.

Since Thursday evening 20/05 mama tit Lucie seems to have vanished from the face of the earth (a cat victim?). The chicks were left orphaned and unfortunately could not survive on their own.

The blue tits were buried together today, in their nest beautifully decorated with a few flowers. Farewell blue tits! 😢
